Dallas Area Rapid Transit, North West Rail Operating Facility

A new maintenance facility on the Green Line from downtown Dallas to suburban Carrollton.

Atrium Stair Study

Problems arose with NWROF's main entry lobby stair. Wind loads against the glass and entry canopy were too great.
I suggested extending the stair stringers across the space to form angular bracing.
Alas, this approach was too different for all parties involved to accept.
